I should've worked out last night. I was bad food-wise. We had donuts at work which I ate because I was coaxed into it. We had tacos for dinner and I should've had 2 instead of 4. And I didn't make my lunch yesterday so I had a sandwich and chips in the cafeteria which wouldn't be so bad except that they give you a HUGE serving of meat on the sandwiches and I can't resist croissants as a choice for bread. Oh, and swiss cheese has a TON of calories (did you know that?). Should've had it on wheat with pepperjack. Live and learn. But I did drink my water for the day. In fact I don't think I've had a soda since Saturday night.
I agree with Miriam... I think one of my issues (especially when it comes to sweets) is that I don't wanna miss out! I think ooh, I better eat that before it goes away or someone beats me to it, I might never get to have it again! Of course this is all subconscious and it's usually over something stupid like an Oreo. When is the world gonna run out of Oreos?! Mindless eating is a big issue for us. Which is why we normally don't have potato chips in our house. We both love jalapeno kettle cooked chips but can't keep them because between the 2 of us, we could polish off a bag in 1 or 2 sittings easily.
I also can agree with Ashley... when the weekend comes it's time for hanging out with friends which almost always means beer/wine/good food.
So the goal for this week is to remember moderation is good and okay and won't deprive me of anything! Maybe I need to say that to myself before every meal, lol.
We might take our measurements too... I tend to get really disappointed by scale numbers but I've never really paid attention to measurements other than my chest size, hehe.
Fwd: Happy first day of school!!

Okay, one more time and then I'll shut up about it. :) Sparkpeople has two great things - a place to track all kinds of measurements, and you can go back and see how much better you've gotten, etc, and their food logs. The mere fact that you have to write down you ate that Oreo helps (oh, but duh, you did Weight Watchers, so you know that already).
ReplyDelete-Miriam, who should be sleeping at 1:30 AM ;)
