1st week goal... almost there!

I worked out for the 4th time this week today. Just need to work out tomorrow morning and I will have met my first week goal! I really do feel better when I've worked out, even if I am a little more sleepy. It's worth it. I didn't eat very well last night or the day before, so I definitely need to keep this up! I looked (via link from email) at Jillian Michaels website to see how to calculate my BMR (basal metabolic rate). Apparently when I do nothing, my body (at my current age, weight, and height) burns 1600 calories. I would've thought it was a lot less than that. But that also shows me how many calories I must've been eating. Ouch!

2010... you're mine!

I have worked out the past 3 mornings with the Wii Fit Plus! Very proud of myself :-) This morning I am verrrrrrrry sleepy and quite sore though. Probably need to stop going to bed at midnight if I'm gonna wake up at 6.

These next two weeks are going to be very challenging. I have the first part of the CPA exam on Friday the 15th. I've discovered my pitfalls seem to be emotions and mindless eating. So I am NOT going to let my stress have control over my eating. I need to prove that to myself. I need to start remembering how relaxing Yoga is. That way, when I'm super stressed out, I can do a few Yoga exercises on the Wii and get re-focused for studying. (Or when I get distracted by any number of video games... lol.)

Here's to a great new year and healthy habits to form! (P.S. They say it takes 6 weeks to make something a habit, so that's my first goal, six weeks of working out at least 5 times a week!)
